This policy explains what information Ecom Expert Services collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have, including how phone numbers and SMS consent are handled.

01Introduction

Ecom Expert Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Austin, Texas, United States, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website or contact us through it.

By using the website, you acknowledge the practices described here. Please also read our Terms & Conditions.

02Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit our contact form or otherwise contact us, we may collect:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • phone number, if you choose to provide it;
  • the eCommerce platform and service you are interested in;
  • your project budget range;
  • your message and any inquiry details you include;
  • files or attachments, if you send them to us as part of an inquiry;
  • whether you agreed to receive SMS marketing messages, along with the consent wording shown to you.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers may automatically receive basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the date and time of the request.

03How Information Is Collected

We collect information directly from you when you fill in a form, send us a message, call or text us, or communicate with us during an engagement. Technical information is collected automatically through the normal operation of the website and the services that host it and deliver its files.

We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers.

04How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • review and respond to your inquiry;
  • understand your platform, service needs, and budget so we can prepare a relevant proposal;
  • provide, manage, and improve our services;
  • send SMS marketing messages, only if you have given separate consent;
  • maintain the security and proper operation of the website;
  • keep records and comply with legal obligations.

05Communication With Visitors and Prospective Clients

If you submit an inquiry, we may contact you by email or phone about that inquiry and any resulting proposal or project. These communications relate to your request and are not marketing text messages.

Submitting the contact form does not, by itself, sign you up for SMS marketing.

06SMS & Phone Number

This section explains how we handle phone numbers and text messaging.

  • Our provider. Our business phone and text messages are handled through Zoom Phone, which acts as our service provider for calls and SMS.
  • Providing a phone number is optional. You may enter your phone number in our contact form so we can reach you about your inquiry.
  • Marketing texts require consent. We send SMS marketing messages only to people who have given the required consent. You can submit a general inquiry without giving that consent, and we do not treat a general inquiry as SMS marketing consent.
  • How we collect SMS consent. We collect it in three ways, and each one shows you the same disclosure before you agree:
    • through the inquiry form on this website, where a separate, unchecked consent box appears alongside a clear statement of what you are agreeing to receive;
    • through lead forms we operate on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), which carry the same disclosure and require an explicit opt-in before any message is sent;
    • through written service agreements and onboarding forms, where you provide your contact number and authorize communication by SMS.
    We keep a record of which disclosure wording you were shown, and when.
  • What you may receive. If you opt in, marketing texts may include service updates, promotions, and service-related offers from Ecom Expert Services.
  • Message frequency may vary.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. After you opt out, we may send one message confirming the opt-out.
  • Help. Reply HELP for assistance, or email info@ecomexpertservices.com.
  • Not a condition of purchase. You do not need to agree to SMS marketing to buy or receive any of our services.

How phone numbers and SMS consent are handled. We keep your phone number and a record of your consent choice with your inquiry so that we can honor your preferences. We do not sell or rent your phone number or your SMS opt-in consent, and we do not share them with any third parties, affiliates, partners, or vendors for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We disclose this information only to service providers that operate our communications, such as Zoom Phone and the mobile carriers that deliver messages, which may use it only to provide those services, or where disclosure is required by law, regulation, or legal process.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

07Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website does not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. We have not installed Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, or Microsoft Advertising (Bing) UET tags on this website.

To display the site, your browser loads some files from third-party content-delivery services, for example fonts from Google Fonts and certain images from Pexels. When your browser requests those files, those providers receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser details, and they handle it under their own privacy policies.

If we add analytics or advertising technologies in the future, we will update this policy before doing so and, where required by law, ask for your consent.

08Advertising and Marketing Services

We promote Ecom Expert Services using advertising platforms including Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, and Microsoft Advertising (Bing). We also manage advertising on these and other platforms for clients as part of our services.

When you view or click one of our ads, the advertising platform may collect information about that interaction on its own services, under its own privacy policy. Because our website does not currently include their tracking tags, those platforms do not receive information about your activity on our website from us.

You can control the ads you see through your account settings on each platform and through the ad-preference tools those platforms provide.

09Data Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • Service providers that host our website, deliver its files, receive form submissions, or provide email, phone, and messaging services (including Zoom Phone). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Platforms you ask us to work on. During an engagement, we may enter information into marketplaces, storefront platforms, or advertising accounts (for example, Amazon, Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or Bing) on your instruction. Those platforms process it under their own policies.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers. If our business is reorganized, merged, or sold, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

10Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, and we limit access to people who need it to do their work. However, no website, transmission over the internet, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or other highly sensitive information through our contact form.

11Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, for example to respond to an inquiry, carry out an engagement, keep business records, or meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

If you opt out of SMS marketing, we keep a record of the opt-out so that we can honor it.

12Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You can choose not to provide your phone number, leave the SMS box unchecked, or reply STOP at any time to stop marketing texts.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to or limit certain uses. To make a request, email info@ecomexpertservices.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Our website links to third-party websites, including Instagram, Facebook, and the eCommerce platforms we work with. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

14Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can delete it.

15Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page. If we make material changes to how we use phone numbers or SMS consent, we will not apply those changes to previously collected consent without providing notice and, where required, obtaining new consent.
